Could Pilgrim Mackie Be Bramll Lane Bound?

Could Pilgrim Mackie Be Bramll Lane Bound?

Sheffield United are rumoured to be lining up a bid for Plymouth Argyle striker Jamie Mackie.

Mackie, 25, has hit 8 goals for relegated Argyle this season, but has grabbed the interest of a number of clubs including Gordon Strachan's Middlesborough.

The former Exeter City striker has previously had a spell with MK Dons, but it's his time at Argyle which has supposedly led to him catching the eye of Kevin Blackwell.

With Billy Sharp returning to Bramall lane next season, alongside Ched Evans, Darius Henderson and Richard Cresswell, it's unknown how significant the capture of another striker will be.

However, Henri Camara's current deal expires in the Summer, and Sharp himself could be subject of great interest around the Championshio following his goal scoring exploits this year, which would open the door to potential arrivals.

Liverpool academy graduate James Ellison has featured up front for the reserves in recent weeks, but it's doubtful the Blades will pursue an interest.

Hmmm interesting. Mackie does have a habit of scoring a good goal but I have seen a lot of him drifting in and out of games and gesticulating at the officials quite a bit.

DrWatford, We are well used to players who gesticulate, we have the king of them here at Bramall Lane. If the was a stat for arm waving, gesticulating and abusing refs & linos, Steven Quinn would top the table!

Harper is a novice by Quinnys standards, Quinny also has a nice line in Lino abuse that Harps can only dream about!

Who is this guy? Ambition, Seip has been awful since he arrived, why did we sign him on loan, if plymouth can loan him out and get relegated, how bad do they think he is? PLus read somewhere we have the 4th highest wage bill in the division.........we only have 8/9 players signed to the club
