Blades Come Face To Face With Former Skipper Reg

Sheffield United have announced their first Pre Season friendly on British soil, as they travel to Mansfield Town, managed by former skipper David Holdsworth.

United had already confirmed that they will be travelling to Malta, which will take in a friendly, as was the case in 2009.

However, upon their return they will travel to the Blue Square Premier side who have enjoyed the use of a number of United players over recent years, with Jamie Annerson, Sam Wedgbury and Maxime Chanot all spending time on loan at Field Mill.

The game on 10th July could feature two former Blades currently enjoying their time under Holdsworth, Kyle Nix and Jake Speight, with the former being the club's top scorer this season.
