Bogdanovic Interest All Toilet Talk?

Bogdanovic Interest All Toilet Talk?

Sheffield United are believed to have an interest in Barnsley striker Daniel Bogdanovic, but is it simply a case of one plus one equalling the Reds' number 10?

With Billy Sharp's future still in doubt, and Kevin Blackwell keen to add to his forward line following the loss of Henri Camara, Bogdanovic appears to be an ideal acquisition.

The former Lokomotiv Sofia striker has hit 11 goals in 20 starts this season, and if reports are to be believed has rejected the offer of a new contract at Oakwell.

The Maltese international would clearly fit in with the Sheffield United PR train, as their links with the Maltese tourist board would be strengthened with the capture.

Although, following the less than successful spells of Justin Haber, Li Tie and David Carney, the hierachy at Bramall Lane may think twice about bringing in the striker who has divided opinion across South Yorkshire with a number of lathargic displays, mixed with moments of magic which has led to his eleven goals.

Could be a shrewd move financially and squad wise, though I do question his work rate. Is he a luxury al a Burbatov?

would simek be a good signing for us as we are very short at the back/ left and right back positions have been a problem all season and he casn aparently play both. he was a good player before injuries hit.

not sure about Bogdanovic i would prefer sharp to come back and get another chance. he has proved himself now he needs to prove himself in our squad. from what i've heard blackwell is wanting to adopt playing flowing football next season so he may fit in nicely.

We are reportedly chasing the signature of Dutch national striker Michael de Leeuw from Netherlands outfit BV Veendam for 450K...He's 23...anyone heard anything about this? Never heard of the lad.

not heard of him...no to simek, hes not recovered to get anywhere near the level he was at - even wendy want rid..doubtful on bogdanovic also...do we really need another forward, we have cresswell, evans, sharp, hendo, ward...I guess hendo is going so maybe we do need someone else but the starting two will be evans and cresswell...with good back up in the shape of sharp and ward (if hes allowed to play up their in his best position)

i don't think hendo will go, and i think he's got an important role to play. remember evans is a free agent next season!! it was strange signing a 20 year old close to £3m and only giving him a 2 year contract. must have been the only way we had of bringing him to the club..not wanting to be tied down so you have to question his commitment for the club as far as im concerned.

look at quinn, bromby and geary. they all came good when they moved to the bright side. i think simek might be worth a punt. he has the ability just need to nature him and his fitness. free agent and really low wages would be ideal for us at the moment.
