Walton Spell Over

Sheffield United have been dealt a severe blow after new loan signing Simon Walton was ruled out for the season.

Walton, who joined the Blades last week on a season-long loan from Plymouth Argyle was stretchered off during the first half of the Blades 1-0 defeat at Mansfield Town on Saturday.

After last season's injury nightmares, this will have been an added blow to Kevin Blackwell who is already suffering a shortage of numbers at the back.

'It is a tragedy for the lad because he was going to give this chance his best shot. He won't play for us now because his loan will be up by the time he recovers. We are now talking to Plymouth about where Simon will do his rehab.'

United will now be looking to draft in a replacement, with just Chris Morgan, Andy Taylor, Johannes Ertl and Rob Kozluk at the club.

Oh dear, fowlswfc, looks like your keeper is off to Baggies. You might get £1m for him if you are lucky, fat boy Mellor and dim wit Morrison have to be funded somehow....and dont forget that extra bank loan needs to be serviced.

Walton loss a big disappointment and I feel really sorry for the lad. Let's not be distracted by the moronic ramblings of the owl idiot society - we have grown up stuff to talk about! We are again in danger of starting the season with a threadbare squad. Signings are needed, especially in defence. So far we have spent nothing - are we actually going to take a chance?

Interesting that all of a sudden the oinkers are confident enough to come on the big boys page, now they think they have a chance next season. They werent so brave last season, we barely heard a squeek fron the idiots like smiggypiggy, now they are getting carried away, but its amusing at least. As long as they remember that they are the poor relations and are in the third division then I guess they will continue to give us a few laughs. They are all looking forward to their big opening game against Dagenham & Roadbridge, bless em.

Hahahahahaha, big boys!!!!

so we are picking up waltons wages for the full season ahead, even though he was on a season long loan and played 15 mins for us...shocking if you ask me yet another silly agreement made by the club....make no wonder we are in the ***** money wise.
