Andy Extends Blades Stay

Andy Extends Blades Stay

Amidst financial speculation left, right and centre, Sheffield United have completed the loan extension of Andy Reid.

Reid, who has played a significant part in the club's recent upturn on the field, was due to return to the north-east following Saturday's game at Bristol City, but it appears that the Irish international will now be staying at Bramall Lane until January 3rd (after the Doncaster game).

His goal against Millwall was his only goal for the Blades so far, but his contributions all over the pitch have been welcomed by Blades fans, adding the quality that had previously been lacking in the final third.

Reid is expected to keep his place in the side for the visit to Bristol this Saturday.

Good news, it would be great to hang on to him till the end of the season, but I guess any permanent deal is out of our reach. He's out of contract at the end of the season.
