Welshman Linked With Tractor Boys Move

Welshman Linked With Tractor Boys Move

Despite being heavily linked with newly promoted Norwich City, Ched Evans is now a reported transfer target for Old Farm rivals Ipswich Town.

The striker, who netted eight goals in yet another injury-marred season is likely to be one of the sacrifices at Bramall Lane following relegation to League 1, and as a top earner with the club is an obvious choice to depart.

And Ipswich is a likely destination, with the potential departure of hot young giant Connor Wickham. Of course it's all close season speculation, and the Welsh international is likely to be a "done deal" with several clubs before anything regarding his future is eventually confirmed.

Expected him to be first out, his wages along with a couple of others are way outside what the club could afford this season, never mind next. He's injury prone, and very inconsistent, good luck to him in the wilds of East Anglia.

i feel a bit sorry for evans - thought that KB treated him rubbishly by bringing him off after an hour every week and the style of play where we used to create one chance a game hardly helped him (another of the KB signings that were never going to work in his teams - britton, evans, howard - i often wondered ot KB think we played a different way in his head!)...i think if he plays for a team that creates chances he'll score a lot of goals as i dod feel he got into excellent positions and was smarter tahn others but never got the ball...technically very good (the way he kicked a ball was how it should be kicked hence all his efforts from distance)...his negatives were that he didnt work hard enough for a long time..he'll not be missed at the lane just think we potentially had a good young player that we never really utilised properly

He only really came to life when Andy Reid was in the team providing the service for him. He should do OK in a team that's providing the right quality of service and if he gets a run in that team. A bit like Billy Sharp before him, he was the right player but in the wrong team.

He would score 10 with the liverpool team of 88, he is **ap, one of the worst signings we ever made, nothing against the lad, just that he can't score...
