Hartlepool 1-2 Sheff Utd
2nd October 2012
19:45
Victoria Park
Sheffield United maintained their unbeaten start to the league one season, without the need for another draw, with a last minute winner at Hartlepool on Tuesday night.
Dave Kitson's (27) second goal in as many games for Sheffield United gave then the lead just before the half hour mark, with that enough to take them into the break a goal to the good.
Hartlepool searched for an equaliser, and having seen Antony Sweeney denied by the bar, they finally managed this late on when Steve Howard (78) scored.
Yet another draw was on the cards for the Blades until Paul Gallagher (89), who had been an injury doubt, grabbed a dramatic winner to give them a 2-1 win.
