Blades battle back to beat Pirates

Bristol Rovers 1-2 Sheff Utd
FA Cup 1st Round
3rd November 2012
15:00
The Memorial Stadium

Sheffield United came from behind to avoid an FA Cup upset and overcome league two Bristol Rovers on Saturday afternoon.

A fine strike from former Welsh international David Clarkson (5) saw Bristol Rovers take an early lead, with this taken into the break.

It didn't take long for Sheffield United to hit back after the break, another wonderful goal from Nick Blackman (53) equalised with Chris Porter (62) scoring his first of the season soon after that to see The Blades come from behind to lead.

Porter was denied another by a goal line clearance but The Blades had done enough to win 2-1 and move into round two of the FA Cup.
