SUFC Weir named new blades boss

SUFC Weir named new blades boss

Sheffield United have appointed Everton under-21 coach David Weir as their new manager.

The vastly experienced former defender has signed a three-year contract at Bramall Lane as he takes his first steps in senior management.

The 43-year-old comes to Bramall Lane after working alongside Alan Stubbs with the Everton under-21 side.

Weir takes over from Danny Wilson who was dismissed by United in April and he will start work straight away as he attempts to gain promotion from League One.

He has got great experience as a player. He must have an host of contacts in the game, so hoping he can use them to bring in players. Let us hope he can get some of the young Everton lads in on loan.

Has some management experience with Everton, highly regarded as a coach and will have learned a great deal from Moyes. I'm not too bothered about him bringing in loan Everton kids, I'd rather he focused on the 5 or 6 good lads in the U21's at BDTBL. Good luck to him and welcome to SUFC, I'm sure the fans will get behind him.

See McSue has gone for the cheap option once again, and if you lot don't believe me, 1st is he a Scotsman, then he can also wear the same clothes as the last manager having the same initials. You lot must be in the big trouble, administration next then followed by relegation.

Listening to what Mandaric had to say the other day I think you need to be more worried than us about administration.

What a clown you are, ecco. Mandaric puts nothing into that crumbling broken down old club of yours, and has one objective in mind, to sell it on and make money out of you. The only reason he hasn't done so yet is because you are worthless! You were worried about relegation until the last couple of weeks last season and Mandaric has made it clear that there is no money to spend. You don't produce ANY young players through your academy, so Jones will go on bringing in failures for silly money, until he gets the sack, it wont be long!
