SUFC Opening game to be shown live

Sheffield United and Notts County will kick off the 2013/14 Football League season after Sky TV chose their game for live coverage.

The game will now take place at Bramall Lane on Friday 2nd August (7.45pm).

The game is also marking the 125th anniversary of the Football League.

The Football League chose six games in the Football League on the opening weekend of the season to mark the anniversary.

Bramall Lane is the oldest professional sports ground in the world and Notts County are the oldest professional football club in the world.
