SUFC Kitson signs for Oxford United

Oxford United have signed former Sheffield United striker Dave Kitson on a two-year deal.

The League Two side have signed the 33-year-old after he was released by Sheffield United at the end of last season.

Kitson had expressed a desire to play in the MLS in America but he has decided on the challenge with the League Two side that are managed by former blades player Chris Wilder.

The striker was the clubs leading goalscorer in his one season at Bramall Lane, netting 12 times in 37 appearances.

All that talk of MLS was rubbish then, fact is he couldn't hack it in the MLS, despite the constant rubbishing of the league that goes on, their standards are well above aged has beens like Kitson. My bet is he has had no offers from across the pond.
