SUFC No blades deal for Lescinel

Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough says there is no deal on the table for former player Jean-Francois Lescinel who is currently training with the blades.

Lescinel was released by United in the summer after an injury plagued two-years with the club.

He has been training with the blades recently as part of an agreement helping the defender return to full fitness following his recovery from knee surgery that ruled him out for the last two months of last season.

Speaking on Radio Sheffield, Clough said, "He is back at the club doing some rehab with us. There was an arrangement made a few months ago. He has been doing some stuff back in France and when he was back at a level, he could come back and step it up.

"We have a friendly at Mansfield next week and he might feature in that. There is nothing for him at Sheffield United at the moment; we are just helping him with his rehab."
Lescinel made 31 appearances for United during his two-years at Bramall Lane.

Good of the club to help him out. He looked decent until the injuries started.

I liked him. Some of his play was a bit gung ho but he had pace and as long as he had a decent tracking back midfielder in front of him I thought he had something to offer in this division.
