Blades Push On With Wallace Bid

Most of the rumours concerning Sheffield Untied at the moment are dominated by Harry Maguire and a possible exit, however interest is still strong in signing James Wallace.

Wallace will be leaving Tranmere Rovers this summer after their relegation into league 2 and with Nigel Clough confirming his interest in the 22-year-old former Everton youngster he laid down a market.

Clough doesn't think that the club are 'far away' from making some good progress in the efforts to sign the 22-year-old midfielder, who if he does come to Bramall Lane will earn Tranmere a compensation fee.
