Wallace Looking Forward To United Start

New summer signing James Wallace, has said he can't wait to start life at Bramall Lane and with the club's ambition, he knows we will be going all out this season to secure promotion to the Championship.

Speaking to the Official Site having signed for us from Tranmere Rovers, their former skipper said.

'I wish pre season could have started the moment I signed. I'm excited to have been given this opportunity to play for a club the size of Sheffield United and once I spoke to the manager I knew I needed to make the move as soon as possible.'

Wallace goes on to say that it's obvious how highly regarded our manager Nigel Clough is within the game, and he's already had a successful managerial career following on from his playing days and international recognition, and he knows that the gaffer can help him develop further especially as he is still relatively young at 22 year of age.

'The aim is obviously automatic promotion and I'm determined to play a big part in helping to achieve that. This is a club that should be in the next division up at least, once we get there who knows what could happen.'
