BLADES STARTING XI: Howard; Freeman, Collins, McEveley, McFadzean; JCR, Basham, Baxter, Woolford; Sharp, Sammon (Howard started after a thigh problem, with Murphy and McNulty rested after picking up knocks)

The final away friendly took place tonight, the opponents being Macclesfield. The match finished at 4-0, eight the score 2-0 at half time.

The first half began with a good start from the blades, with 2 goals inside the first 12 minutes. The first goal came courtesy of an own goal from a Jamal Campbell-Ryce free kick, with the defender converting the free kick into his own goal. The second came from Billy Sharp just 12 minutes into the match. The only negative to come out of the first half is another injury, this time to JCR, who was taken off and replaced by Che Adams.

The second half began with a sub for the blades, with Higdon replacing Sammon, and a goal just 10 minutes into the match. Che Adams, just coming on at the end of the first half, scoring. He also scored moments before the end, making the result 4-0

The attendance tonight was 999, with 551 of those blades, yet another good turnout. The final friendly is Hull at BDTBL on Sunday, with KO being 3pm.
