Sheffield United continued their resurgence with a comprehensive 3-0 home win over Bristol City.

United made it three wins in a row in League One as they swept aside a Bristol side who started the day above them on goal difference.

Paul Brayford set United on the way as he scored his first goal for the club since joining on loan from Cardiff City in January. Brayford fired home at the far post following a United corner that was flicked on by Harry Maguire.

Ryan Flynn doubled the lead for United just short of the hour when he fired across goal and into the bottom corner after good work from Jamie Murphy.

Flynn was then upended in the penalty area and Jose Baxter fired home from the spot to give the blades their biggest win of the season.

Great to see two quick wingers attacking their full backs, Brayford is way too good for this league, the back four is much stronger now and Scougall in midfield offers something totally different in this league. Above all, confidence is back. NC has the team adapting to the demands of home and away tactics, 3 at the back with two big men up at Gillingham then all change for the Bristol City game. Long way to go still, but very encouraging.

His January signings have made a massive impact. To think he was bringing Scougall in to work with next season, he has been a massive influence in the middle. Coady, Murphy and Flynn have been like new players since Christmas.
