Record run comes to an end

Sheffield United saw their long unbeaten run and clean sheet record come to an end with a 2-0 home defeat to league leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers.

James Henry and David Edwards were on target for Wolves as the blades lost for the first time in twelve games and concede their first goals in nine games.

Henry gave Wolves the lead on 13 minutes when his ball into the middle missed everyone to beat Mark Howard in the Sheffield United goal.

Henry could have had a second in the first half but his effort hit the post whilst John Brayford had the blades best chance but his effort was cleared off the line.

Wolves made the game safe early in the second half when Edwards fired home and end a fantastic run for United that has seen them climb from second bottom of League One into mid-table safety as well as reach the FA Cup semi-final.

The blades are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Crawley Town.
