Blades enjoy Good Friday win
Sheffield United kept alive their slim play-off hopes with a 1-0 home win over relegation threatened Stevenage.
United won thanks to an own goal just ten minutes into the game when John Mousinho turned a Jamie Murphy cross into his own goal.
The blades were in action for the first time since their FA Cup semi-final defeat and they made hard work of beating a Stevenage side that could be relegated on Monday.
Despite being unconvincing, United could have gone in further ahead at half time. Jose Baxter saw his long-range effort kept out and there were huge appeals for a penalty just before the break when Jamie Murphy tumbled in the area.
Stevenage had a great chance to equalise just past the hour when goalkeeper Mark Howard saved the blushes of defender John Brayford, when Freeman seized on his back pass but he could not beat Howard.
The visitors pressed hard for an equaliser in the final minutes but United held on for a second successive home win.
